Grumpy: Dottie is sitting on fertile eggs. Not just any eggs, inside these eggs are potential show champions! Isn't that awesome! It will be great to see all the different colours too. Fingers crossed it all goes well! She was such a fiesty teenager, perhaps motherhood will turn her into a feathery bundle of love.
Happy: Laydee has made a complete recovery! She's back to her old self but is rather disgusted with Buckbeak. Lots of frill-neck chicken dancing but no real damage. This hen is a lady after all ;-) Laydee is such a great chook, so gentle with the kids and tolerant of rides on trikes and swings!
Sneezy: Madam the faverolle isn't well. I am confident she will be the last as I recognized the symptoms much sooner than Laydee. She's on antibiotics too. Just as well the vet isn't too expensive! She won't eat the rickets diet which is a real bother. I got a lot of goodies into Laydee that way.
Creamy: I've written this post whilst devouring a whole heap of homemade ice-cream made with the delicious fresh eggs of the Ladies in the Garden. Yummo!
